Early Help Assessment - Introduction to Early Help Assessment

This course is intended for all practitioners who work with children, young people and their families.

The Early Help Assessment (EHA) is the assessment and support plan used by Darlington’s multi agency partnerships, including Schools, Health, children’s centres and any other service who works with children and their families.  Early help assessment provides a standardised and coordinated approach for practitioners across agencies and is designed to ensure that children, young people and their families receive the right support at an early stage before their needs escalate.

Upon successful completion of this training course, you will understand how the Early Help Assessment can be used to support families to bring about change.  You will also understand how the early help assessment process can be used to evidence progress (or lack thereof) over time which could lead to an escalation to statutory involvement
